Meet sweet Shiraz and the lovely Tootsie the 8 & 9 year old Shih Tzu’s. They are a bonded pair and have been together all their lives. They will only be rehomed together.
Shiraz is a girl who loves her cuddles with anyone who willing to oblige. She likes to play tug and will growl playfully wagging her tail. She is a happy, inquisitive girl – always first out of the door and first to bark. Shiraz is quite outgoing and will go off alone and go to sleep without anyone in the room. Her training is coming along, she settles quickly when left alone with Tootsie. She occasionally ignores being called in, but is learning! She is happy to be touched although she is a bit twitchy around her mouth and feet. She is sociable with adults and older children.
Tootsie is not as secure as Shiraz and hasn’t coped well with coming into rescue. She really needs time and space to settle in a new home with very little fuss from her new family as this does cause her stress. Tootsie likes to play and likes cuddles although she is a bit twitchy around her mouth and feet. She is sociable but at times would like to be left alone and may snap out, with this in mind we feel that the dogs would be best off in a home with no children and if visiting children they are supervised at all times.
They are both are fine with other dogs of all sizes. Shiraz walks well on her lead striding out in front, Tootsie takes a little more persuading. They show no dominates with toys or food and when left would be best crated together as Tootsie will chew if left outside the crate.
Both dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. They are currently being fostered in Par, Cornwall and we would expect any potential home to visit them there.
