Sweet misunderstood darling little boy, our dinky winky Bertie boy.

Gender/Age: Male 3-4yrs
Breed: Chihuahua
Colour: Tan & white
Bertie is a little man with a big personality! He will be a great companion for anyone who is willing to put some time and effort into understanding his ways.

I have been fostering this little boy now for a few days purely to see if I can find out what makes him tick.

Bertie is a very loving boy, and adores attention. He has been rehomed but unfortunately due to some little problems he was returned.

This is why I thought I would foster him and see if I could work with his issues.

Bertie is fearful when you try to put him on the lead, and will nip you with fear. I don’t know but I think due to Bertie’s size I think he was treated by his original owner as a baby, he might have even been dressed up, hence why he hates to be handled around his neck area.

I am glad to inform you that Bertie is now learning to be a proper little DOG, not a human. He is so-so intelligent and very quick to learn, he is great with my four dogs and has met several others whilst he has been with me, so know worries about being rehomed with another dog. He has met some older children and lots of visitors to my home and strangers whilst out on walks, again he has been fine with them all.

I know it sounds like he is a little saint, and I will be honest I think he is getting there, but he can only do it if he has a patient firm owner that will work with him with these issues.

At the moment, with a firm command I can put on and take off his lead, he has been taught not to go on my furniture and now has learnt that he will only get a cuddle when I chose, not when he wants.

I am looking for a very confident owner that can continue with this training, and treat this DOG as a DOG, so the poor thing can understand what he really is.

I am happy to spend time helping his new owner, and happy to either show or tell you what has worked so far for this boy.

I have loads and loads more I can tell you about him and the giggles he has given me, all you have to do is ASK, this darling just needs that chance.

Thank You

Please note this darling boy needs a very kind experienced home with someone who is patient and can spend some time with continuing his training, if you feel you can offer him a loving home please call me (Adrienne) on 077825 44913 or 01732 865530 10am-3pm to speak to the Manager Yuriy or Assistant Manager Jenny who know this dog very well and can give you lots of information about our him.
