Dana is a 2 yrs old Boxer x staffy. She was found in a property after the renters had moved out 3 weeks before. There was no food or water & there was poo & wee everywhere. She was demented. She was so skinny & her nails curved under. She had been neglected long before she was left. The police brought her in on graspers as she was so scared & was going crazy. A few days into the vets & she has turned into the most loving caring dog. She is slowly putting on weight & is good with other dogs.

Dana has now been spayed & Vac's. , she's put on some weight and has gone to her new foster home in Leeds.

Update from foster Mum:
Picked up this little pocket rocket this afternoon and she travelled like a dream. Got her home and took her in the garden and you'd think it was her first time ever seeing grass. She went mental tear arsing around.

Waited for Sarah to finish work so that I had extra hands to do introes to Demps. She makes a good guard dog! Sarah had to go back out and wait for me to come let her in! She was a bit scared of the giant one but after a little while she realised he wasn't gonna hurt her she let him have a fuss.

Took the girls for a walk and apart from having a bit of a grumble when Demps took too long sniffing her everything was fine. She walks very nicely too. Back home they were in the garden together for a bit but they're in separate rooms for now as she's been through a lot over the past few weeks and I don't want to do too much all at once.

She's been loved at some point. She sits, gives paw, lays down and rolls over. It's really sad that she went from being loved to being abandoned :(

She loves her snogs too. She's so eager to please already and I think she's almost forgetting about the bad bits of her past already!

Anyway, some pics...

Does your bit smell as good as my bit?

She really is a babe.

She's sooo well behaved, especially considering all she's been through. She 'leaves' on command too  She has defo been someone's baby at some point :(

I don't know how she coped 3 weeks without people. She adores humans once you've been in her company for 5 minutes. She waited to be invited onto the sofa with me and as soon as she did she licked me half to death! She stopped when told to though.

She slept right through the night and no sounds or mess was made. They've been on a long walk this morning and when they got home Dana decided to have a bit of a play with Dempsey

It's amazing how dogs can bounce back. Us humans could learn a lesson or 10 from them!

Left the girls to it whilst I went in the bathroom and came out to find both of them laid waiting for me. Both then laid either side of me on the sofa. Went to work half day and came back to how I left them (in separate rooms), no destruction or mess

Tonight Dana met 3 of demis playmates - a dally, mastiff and husky, and although a little overwhelmed demi bear looked after her.

This little girl is gonna do perfectly well in a home that wants to love her forever bighug
